Shape of a Mother

I haven't been posting for different reasons, but I feel like that deserves a post.

I found Shape of a Mother a couple of weeks ago. It's a blog where women can post pictures of their bellies before, during and after pregnancies. Not having a child, seeing the pictures shocked me at first, and then I became addicted. The only pictures of pregnant bellies that I had seen prior to this website were free of stretchmarks, or with minimal ones. Now I can see the reality. I can see what what most women's bellies look havlike after ing nurtured a child in it for 40 weeks. It is kind of scary, but at the same time it allows me to know what to expect.

I think that the author should receive some kind of award for allowing women to feel empowered.

I recently came across that site too. Funny, because shortly after I had my twins I was going to photograph myself and post it. We take so many belly shots during pregnancy, shouldn't we take them after too? But I didn't get around to it. I'm glad that the site exsists. I could still photograph myself... kinda droopy, and my upper abs still stick out a bit... but it's not the same as it was right after they were born.
