Busy busy busy

It turns out that I seem to be busier now that I am taking 3 classes than when I was taking 4. I think that it comes from the fact that I have gone up the ladder at work, and I now have somebody under me.

Our new employee is 19 and she is a really sweet girl, but it takes more time to explain things to somebody else, and to try to steer her in the right direction when she is working on something than to do it myself. So my days are going by really quickly, so quickly in fact that I haven't read the blogs that I used to read everyday in quite a few days which says a lot about my old position!! I enjoy doing my job better now that I am more involved, and I don't really mind being that busy. Being in class Monday through Friday after work doesn't give me much extra time though.

I did get up at 6.15 this morning and walked for 30 mins on my treadmill, which I am really happy about. I hope that I'll be able to do it almost every morning...we just got cable for out TV a week ago, and I love watching Discovery Health Channel. They have just started the National Body Challenge. "It's a FREE, eight-week, comprehensive online fitness and weight-loss challenge." They also have shows on the Discovery Health Channel that give a lot of information about weight loss. I find it really helpful to read magazines like Fitness and to watch shows like that, because they encourage me. When I watch these shows I feel bad about not doing it myself.

I am really excited because I found the blog of suzannemichelle81. She has just left last Friday for Casa de Nacimiento. It is a birthing center in El Paso, TX where one can learn hands on everything there is to know about pregnancy and birth. A lot of women go there to give birth so it is a really good way to see a lot of births and to learn and develop the skills necessary to follow a woman during pregnancy until the birth of her child as well as during the postpartum period. I would just LOVE to do something like that. Last time I mentioned that to Husby he seemed a little concerned about the fact that Casa happens to be in a poor area...maybe I should discuss it more with him, and may one day we'll have enough money that I can afford to go....

I'm looking forward to following SuzanneMichelle's blog at Casa, too! I linked it to my blog today.

I've heard of the Casa de Nacimiento, too! I'll have to check out her blog, too. Thanks for the link.

I know what you mean about spending more time explaining things to someone at work. I found it kind of frustrating at first, but it's always nice when the workload evens out later.
